Bec ScalesPastor & Country Director | Life Child South Africa
I am a pastor and Country Director for Life Child South Africa. Originally a High School Phys Ed teacher from Brisbane, Australia, I enjoy all sports, especially cricket and basketball! When I get the chance I especially enjoy airports, aeroplanes and travelling! However the greatest and simplest pleasure is a good cuppa tea ANYTIME in the day!

Bruce McClelandYoung Adults Leader
I head up the finances of the church. I am massively passionate about the local church and its role within our community. To see Gods heart ripple through our communities and to see His love resonate in and restore each individual and family. Pranking is my favorite past time so when you visit our church and a prank happens to you, it was more than likely me. I am married to Megan #overachieversclub. I sing songs to her daily, and this is why she constantly has that special sparkle in her eyes.
I head up the Communications and media for our church and our community projects. Creativity is part of who I am, I love to be inspired and living in Africa that isn’t very hard. I love my local church, I enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life. Bruce my husband keeps me entertained with all his pranks and jokes:)
Michael & Shana LiebenbergPastor (Pretoria)
Michael served as a youth pastor and many other areas in his local church for many years. After some time Michael and Shana felt the need to take a sabbatical for about 1 year to recharge themselves.
During the latter part of 2008 the Pastor of Petra AOG asked Michael if he would like to come take over the church. After discussions they decided to step into the ministry, they were ordained and so their journey started. The church name changed to Ministry For Life and they moved into a new venue February 2009.
During the last part of 2011, through relationship they became part of Life Church, receiving apostolic leadership from Anthony and Desiree and so changed their name to Life Church Pretoria.
I oversee Equipping, Discipleship, Pastoral departments and Cells at Life Church. I make the best rusks and I am addicted to them. I cannot get up in the morning without having a rusk to start the day off. I am highly passionate about Africa, South Africa and Cape Town, wanting God to do some amazing stuff here; seeing real change in people, communities and nations.
The future is bright.
Sharon TobiasSocial and Counseling
I work in the Social Concerns and Counseling Department at Life Church and I am totally passionate about all matters relating to Social Concerns. I absolutely love people of all ages, including the Elderly, the Youth, children and Babies. I run the Mom’s and Babies Cell Group on a Wednesday Morning at Life Church and also give ante natal support and Counseling to Pregnant Moms. I do grief counseling and am currently doing a course in Child grief counseling and Play Therapy through Counseling. I am on the Restorative Justice Team at Pollsmoor Female Prison and am also passionate about people wanting to change and become re-habilitated from a life of crime and gangsterism.
I have a grown up daughter who is currently studying for a degree in Education.

I assist with Cell administration and have the pleasure of meeting new people and allocating them to Cell Groups.
I feel privileged to stay in lovely Cape Town and enjoy exploring the city. I love to read and I am passionate about poetry. I love to travel and I dream of exploring more of Africa and one day compiling my poems in a book titled, ‘One’! In the meantime I will continue to enjoy the gift of life and the ability to share it!

I head up Ubomi, which is the expression of Life Church Cape Town in its impoverished communities to reach the most vulnerable. What makes me very happy is seeing the township kids laughing, excitedly pushing a makeshift car along the dusty road. So does cruising on my bicycle along the coastal road to Hout Bay, taking in the awesome scenery and recognising God and His workmanship all around me.

I love traveling, airports, meeting people with different background, cultures… Always count me in for a nice cappuccino with cream and caramel cheesecake as long as you’re paying 🙂 I get to be around people whose generosity always blow me away and motivate me to be/do the same.
